I guess the best place to start, will be the beginning. I'm Misty, I was born and raised in Tucson Arizona. I never left the state till after my father passed in 2009. My mother and I moved to Show Low, Arizona were I lived for almost a year. I met my soul mate in February, and moved to be with him in September 2010.
This is me and the beloved back in 2010 when I first came to live with him. See that calendar in the background? Loved it, got it at Five Star Chinese Buffet! So after we lived together for a few months, we moved from his dads place into a apartment of our own. This was in February 2011, but sadly Joseph caught a cold within a week! He was so sick, we had to cancel our flight to go see his brother and his brand new nephew. But to make up with me, he got me a special present. This is something I have wanted for a very long time! Wondering what it is? We welcomed Zoey into our home, with open arms and hearts.
For a year this little girl was our everything. She is a Maltese/Poodle mix, and full of attitude. She ate everything, acted cute, and won our hearts more and more everyday.

In February 2012 we conceived our surprise son. He was definitely a surprise as we were not expecting him. For 9 wonderful months we prepared our hearts and home to welcome him to our lives. In the last 3 months of pregnancy I started to have complications with my potassium levels, being dehydrated, and very severe nausia. I tried to tell my doctor, but as usual he brushed off my complaints. The day I turned 38 weeks I saw a new OBGYN who would be delivering our son. I told him about the problems I was having, and that I have had a decrease in movement for a week. He sent me right away to Grossmont Hospital for a NST scan and ultrasound. They saw that the amniotic fluid was low, so that was a slight problem. After an hour of being hooked up to the NST machine, they noticed my sons heart decimals were not spiking like they should. They then took me to triage to keep me hooked up longer. After four hours, hubby got off work and came to be with me at the hospital. They informed us that I will be kept overnight on the machine. As the night progressed I had a few braxton hicks contractions. Each contraction brought the nurses running full speed into our room. Our son's heart rate would drop to 75-80 beats per minute from 150bpm. By 7:30am the doctors informed me that our son would be born that day. He was delivered October 24, 2012 at 9:32 AM. He was 18 inches and 5lbs, a tiny little boy.

When he started to cry, so did I. He was taken straight to be checked out while I was stitched up and taken to recovery. Once I was in recovery he was brought to me for a moment, when we attempted to breast feed because he had low blood sugar. His blood sugar was at 17, which is very low. After we attempted to breast feed, they took him back to check his level. It dropped to 7, and he was taken to NICU for some sugar water and formula. This was not the end of our battle for this. For the entire 4 days of my stay while I healed from the c-section, he was in NICU for his blood sugar levels. They just would not stabilize. On the fourth day he was transferred to another hospital that could provide him with better care since he needed an IV to be put in through his belly button. 10 days after birth we brought our little bundle home! I was falling apart without him,so his home coming was very welcome!
This is our story, this is our family. This blog is going to be for my ramblings, product reviews, items we love, items we HATE, and other crafty adventures. I hope you will follow us on this adventure, comment, and become part of our family in a way.
